Historical Memories: Day 4

What it takes to save our country

The tomb of the unknown soldiers... we can't even comprehend the millions that gave their lives for freedom and liberty.
Many who took a step out of their comfort zone to make a difference.

Me and Christinna in Lee's house.

Tombs went as far as you could see.  I was thinking of all the people I know and that doesn't even come close to the numbers of people who died on the battle field.

The front of the Lincoln Memorial,

The Abe we all love.
Vietnam Memorial.  During that time, people thought it was a useless war, so they did anything but respect the soldiers fighting in it.  It's huge that they have wall with those who lost their lives in D.C.

Cute duckies! :)

President Roosevelt's cute dog!  It looks like Lady!

Thomas Jefferson Memorial,

Hey, look, it's me!

While at the Jefferson Memorial, we saw a helicoptor fly over us that lead to the White House.  Maybe the President, eh?

The Capitol! :)

A replica of the Capitol in the Capitol building!

We got to go out on the balcony and straight ahead was the Washington Monument.

The group with Representative Huizenga.

We got to ride on an underground train where the real congress rides. (The guy walking is Mr. Ransom)

Me and Christianna on the train/trolley! :)
Day 4 complete
