Long time, new Year!

Hey Friends,
Happy New Year! Since I wrote last, I have had done a summer long tennis academy option, went to Cincinnati, Ohio and watch real, live professional tennis players.  Had a birthday, started High School, Thanksgiving, DRIVERS ED. Started the class on the 28th of November and it went through the 15 of December. I did really well on the test and I am getting my hours in.  Then I enjoyed an amazing Christmas present early on the 15th... going up to GR to watch The Story Tour. That was so amazing.  Then Christmas began and ended.  New Year's Eve I babysat.
Life has been crazy.  Life has been tough.  Life has been amazing.  My life has been full of God.
I can't believe it's been so very long since I've posted on here.
I am considering starting something new, like video posts on youtube or here. Whatever works really. I bet my life isn't the only thing that has been crazy, I'm sure you have had tons of occurrences in your life too.  Thanks for reading this.  I hope you are all healthy, physically and spiritually.
Love in Him,

You're Not Alone

Recently, I've been a little down.  This life has so many ups and downs and one thing that seemed like nothing is just increasing in size.  I feel like a bug under a magnifying glass.  People are judging me, watching me, seeing how I respond to situations and I'm not sure if my reaction is the best.  Do you ever feel alone? Like there is no way out?  That friends who used to be good are changing?  Well, while growing up, especially the *cough* awesome *cough* teen years can be so tough.  At least one thing never changes... and that's God and His love for us.  When we feel like life isn't working out right, we need to rely on God.  RED wrote this amazing song called, "Not Alone" and it has been an encouragement to me.  In the song they say, "I'm with you, I'll carry you through it all.  I won't leave you, I'll catch you, when you feel like letting go. You are not alone.
Life's hard, but God is stronger than anything!

The 1 Survivor

Recently, I've been reading the book Mistaken Identity and it has touched me a ton.  There was a terrible accident (April 26, 2006) of a Taylor University van and 5 lives were lost and 1 survived.  The survivor, Laura Van Ryn family received a call that their daughter had survived.  The other 5 received the dreaded news.  Laura's family was at her side 24/7 for 5 weeks straight.  Every little bit, Laura would do, say or they would see something that made them a little uncertain it was her but remembered with the brain injury she had it was common.  In a therapy session, 5 weeks after the accident, Laura was told to write her name. She wrote, Whitney.  The girl the Van Ryns were caring for over 5 weeks ended up not being Laura. But another student, Whitney Cerak.  I can only imagine being in this circumstance. Any perspective is difficult. But through this, the Van Ryns, which had the worst part of the deal, have done what is humanly unheard of.  They kept praying for Whitney.  Instead of getting angry with God, they rejoiced.
God used this scenario to bring people to Him!
Even when terrible things happen in our lives, God can take and use them for good.
Why don't you pray for the families that had victims and the survivor?
