The 1 Survivor

Recently, I've been reading the book Mistaken Identity and it has touched me a ton.  There was a terrible accident (April 26, 2006) of a Taylor University van and 5 lives were lost and 1 survived.  The survivor, Laura Van Ryn family received a call that their daughter had survived.  The other 5 received the dreaded news.  Laura's family was at her side 24/7 for 5 weeks straight.  Every little bit, Laura would do, say or they would see something that made them a little uncertain it was her but remembered with the brain injury she had it was common.  In a therapy session, 5 weeks after the accident, Laura was told to write her name. She wrote, Whitney.  The girl the Van Ryns were caring for over 5 weeks ended up not being Laura. But another student, Whitney Cerak.  I can only imagine being in this circumstance. Any perspective is difficult. But through this, the Van Ryns, which had the worst part of the deal, have done what is humanly unheard of.  They kept praying for Whitney.  Instead of getting angry with God, they rejoiced.
God used this scenario to bring people to Him!
Even when terrible things happen in our lives, God can take and use them for good.
Why don't you pray for the families that had victims and the survivor?
