Glorious Day

Living He loved me, dying He saved me.  Buried He carried my sins far away.  These lyrics of Casting Crown's song is amazing.  We can't even imagine what happened on that cross.  We are now so focused on our lives and what makes us happy.  Jesus was and still is perfect, never sinned while people were so cruel to Him.  And we sin even when people are being fine to us.  What is going on here?  God's Son came to this earth and suffered the worst death imaginable and us humans aren't telling everyone we see each day?  What grief we must put on God.  Oh God, let me and my brothers and sisters in Christ step up.  Help us to be living images of Your Son, Jesus.  Let us not be consumed by this world.  The media or images. Please keep our minds pure, so that when we come face to face with You, we can hear You say loud and proud, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Sometimes life can get a little overwhelming.  Sometimes you worry about all the bad stuff going on and forget about the good.  Well, I'm not going to give a whole speech about it cause it's a Geico commercial.  It's copying the game ALL our mothers used to do to us. And the piggy went...what? Wheeee!  Anyway, I hope it makes your day!

Are you Strong? God is 1,000,000,000+ stronger!

Do you ever feel like life can't move on?  Do you ever wonder if God really cares?  Life has its waves and storms.  If God loves us, why would He put us through these circumstances?  Why can't He make our lives better?  Why is it that people doing the right things normally don't get the benefits as of doing it the "worlds way"?  These are some questions I've been grasping with.  Man, life's tough, right?  In the world, there's too much "stuff" to deal with.  Simple stuff like daily algebra equations don't seem much to women about to have an abortion.  You would think people would start standing up, you would think that people would start wanting to make a difference.  Us Christians (including me) are trying to be as close to the world as we can.  Why is that?  If us Christians don't take the wheel, who will?  Sorry, I'm just pouring my heart out as I type.  Have you ever wondered why all sin is equal?  Why is it that a simple discouraging word on a sister as bad as murder?  God says sin is sin and that He had to die on the cross for all of them.  I don't know, I just don't understand this world.  Well, if you can relate to any of this paragraph you're not alone.  God is HERE and will guide us.  Being a teen isn't easy, He knows, He was there.  Isn't it amazing to know that Jesus struggled with the same things we do and yet never sinned?  What a savior!  Mandisa's song "Stronger" really encourages you to keep riding the waves of life.  Are you strong?  God is 1,000,000,000+ stronger!

Without You, we cannot exist...

My ipod touch is one of the possessions I love.  You can do so much on it!  I find peace and comfort in music thanks to this little device! :)
What gives you comfort and peace?  A secret hide-away, being alone, writing in a journal or even music?  If at this moment, you're not sure where you can find that peace, try listening to some music today.  There are many different styles and beats, you will be sure to find some you like.  However, many things that might bring you happiness is not always the best, listen to things that encourage you and most importantly glorifies Jesus Christ.  If it wasn't for Him, we wouldn't exist.

Historical Memories: Day 4

What it takes to save our country

The tomb of the unknown soldiers... we can't even comprehend the millions that gave their lives for freedom and liberty.

Many who took a step out of their comfort zone to make a difference.

Tombs went as far as you could see.  I was thinking of all the people I know and that doesn't even come close to the numbers of people who died on the battle field.

Vietnam Memorial.  During that time, people thought it was a useless war, so they did anything but respect the soldiers fighting in it.  It's huge that they have wall with those who lost their lives in D.C.

While at the Jefferson Memorial, we saw a helicoptor fly over us that lead to the White House.  Maybe the President, eh?
