The Star-Spangled Banner... what a banner to be proud of. Freedom is not free.
This is the Washington Monument. If you look closely, there was a time of I believe 50+ years that they had to stop building it. That's why the bricks are differently colored. Inside it, there are bricks dedicated to each state.
This is the Capitol. I zoomed in from the top of the Washington Monument to get this photo. We went for a Capitol tour and photos will be coming for that as well.
The incredible view... 555 feet up overlooking Washington D.C. On 1 side was the capitol, 1 side the Lincoln Memorial, 1 side the White House and I forgot the other one, sorry, Christianna, Olivia do you remember?
Statue of Martin Luther.
The National Cathedral... what a beautiful chapel! The whole building (if seen above) is in a shape of a cross. I thought that was so cool!
A beautiful stain glass window in the cathedral.
One of the chapels in the cathedral had this beautiful background. It almost looked like a fancy organ.
Helen Keller's grave is found in here.
What an amazing building. It took over 80 years to build and the stone walls weigh tons!
Day 2 complete
